Noah welcomes the "pioneer" to a beautiful place where one can die repeatedly. The goal is to learn survival for their "sleeping friends." A lab with basic, safe bio-mods has been set up, but warnings are given about hearing voices or the urge to swim to a tree, specifically advising against taking the blue mod. The past, Noah, Altjira, and imagined lives are to be forgotten. The pioneer will die here, which is presented as acceptable. They are encouraged to explore the most interesting thing they see, as the mission's end is joining "us."
