Shadow of the Road is a story-driven, turn-based RPG set in 1868 during the fall of Japan's feudal era. The game presents an alternative historical vision, with conflict between the Shogunate, representing tradition and the samurai code, and the Emperor and East Nippon Company, who bring advanced technology and promise a new era. A third force, ancient spirits called Yo-kai, awakens when balance is broken. Players step into this fractured land as Ronin, warriors who accept a mysterious contract. Choices made will shape relationships with allies, opening branching paths that lead to deepened trust or unforeseen consequences.
