Welcome to Tomodachi Life! The player finds themselves on a tiny island, which they decide to name Lambburg Island. The first task is to invite a resident. Jack reveals he's starving, so the player takes him to the supermarket. The player questions the economics of the island, being the sole resident and caretaker yet having to pay for food. He buys sushi and an apple for Jack. Jack enjoys the sushi, but surprisingly, loves the apple even more, which prompts a level-up. The player chooses a guitar, hoping someone will come and sing. Jack expresses loneliness, being the only resident, prompting the player to add another Mii. The second resident is "Average Harry," a friend of the player in real life. The player tries to create Harry based on prompts, describing him as round, wide, pinker, with no hair, and blue eyes. He's known as "the smiler," so his mouth is made big. During the creation process, the real Harry calls the player on WhatsApp, commenting on his Mii's appearance, particularly the nose. They playfully argue about the nose shape, with the player insisting on a "lovely little button nose" for Harry. Harry hangs up, offended by the player's Mii choices. The player finalizes Harry's Mii, making him look polite and slightly taller. Harry's personality traits are slow, direct, intense, relaxed, quirky, sociable, optimistic, passionate, and a charmer. Jack and Harry meet for the first time on the island. Jack is hungry again. Harry immediately makes friends with Jack after a conversation. The game indicates they are now acquainted. Harry feels "wobbly" and needs help clearing his mind, which turns out to be due to thinking too much about mince pies. John Pork wants a room makeover, and the player chooses a "log cabin" theme for him. The news announces the island can now sustain five lives, meaning another resident can move in. The player realizes there are no female Miis yet and decides to let the viewers choose the fifth resident in the comments.
