"Order of the Sinking Star," a new puzzle adventure game, is launching this year on Nintendo Switch 2. The game features a large overworld leading to distinct sub-games, initially presented as an anthology. These include "Heroes of Hauling," where fantasy heroes with unique puzzle powers run a moving company; "The Mirror Isles," following a trader whose mirrors swap him with his reflection; "The Promise," where an explorer uses colored gems to manipulate light for various abilities; and "Skipping Stones to Lonely Homes," about a marooned sailor navigating a world of giant stones. Players can tackle these four games in any order. The core of the game unfolds as these worlds and characters collide, creating a complex universe where elements from each game interact. This merging of worlds generates over a thousand unique and engaging puzzles, with the combinatorics offering vast possibilities. A mysterious organization, the Order of the Sinking Star, is revealed to be behind this world-merging, and players may uncover their secrets.
